The rooms that stay with us longest are rarely the most decorated

They are the ones where something happened. Where a family gathered around a fire at the end of a long day on the mountain. Where a summer morning stretched into the afternoon without anyone noticing. Where the children grew up, and the home grew with them.

For more than twenty years, Claudia Dorsch has been designing homes built for exactly those moments and she knows, intimately, what each one needs to hold.

Homes designed to be lived in fully

Claudia Dorsch is a London-based interior design studio working on refined private homes across the UK and internationally. Established in 2009, the studio works with internationally-minded families who value discretion, building enduring homes in the city, the mountains and at the coast, designed to be lived in fully, not just to photograph well.

Three worlds. Each one shaped by the life lived within it.

Many clients move between more than one home — a city residence, a mountain retreat, a place by the water. Each calls for something distinct. Its own pace. Its own quality of light. Its own relationship between inside and outside. We approach each one with the same curiosity: what does this place ask of the design? What does this family need it to hold? The answers are always particular, and the homes that result always feel authentic to both.

CITY

Urban Sophistication

The city home carries the full weight of daily life. The early mornings, the family dinners, the quiet hours between. More than any other home a family owns, it must hold many things at once, and reveal none of the effort. These are interiors shaped by architecture, informed by art and cultural context, and designed to absorb all of it without ever showing the strain.

Surf

Coastal Serenity

Coastal homes live differently. Salt air, sand and the particular wear of a life spent close to water shape every material choice and every spatial decision. The relationship between inside and outside is not a design feature. It is the design. These are homes built to hold the ease of coastal living across every season, not just the best ones.

Ski

Alpine Craft

Mountain homes call for a different kind of attention. The pace changes. Materials need to hold warmth, age honestly and sit well in a landscape that shifts with every season. The relationship between the interior and what lies beyond it is not background. It is the design. These are homes built around the rituals of mountain life, year round, and the craft those environments demand.

Every home begins with a conversation

The studio works with a small number of clients each year, and takes on projects where the brief calls for something considered, personal, and designed to last. If you are thinking about a home in the city, the mountains or at the coast, we would be glad to talk.
