About Us
We are a London-based interior design studio working on refined private homes in the UK and internationally. Our clients are globally-minded individuals and families who move between more than one home, and want each of those homes to feel as considered and personal as the lives lived within them.
We work across the city, the mountains and the coast. Claudia leads the vision and client relationship on every project, supported by an experienced team of creative professionals. The same depth of care applies in every location.
What we do is not decoration. It is the slow, careful work of understanding how a family lives, and translating that understanding into spaces that feel grounding, enduring, and unmistakably authentic.
THE DESIGN OF A HOME SHOULD BE CENTRED AROUND THE COMPLEXITY OF THE LIVES THAT LIVE IN IT. DESIGNING IT WELL IS ONE OF THE MOST CONSEQUENTIAL THINGS WE CAN DO.

CITY
Precision, Art, Architectural Intelligence
City homes must be many things at once — and reveal none of the effort involved. They are shaped by architecture, by the light between buildings, by the rhythm of a household that moves fast and needs its home to absorb that pace without showing it. We design city homes around the culture and the daily life within them, not around a style imposed upon them. Every decision is contextual.

Light, Ease, The Permanent Conditions
Coastal homes are shaped by where they face the water. Effects of changing light, windy climate and salt air are not just seasonal considerations, they are the permanent conditions of the place. A home near water that only works in sunshine was designed for a photograph, not a life. We design for the full reality of coastal living, and for the calm that comes from getting it right.

Craft, Honesty, The Full Arc of a Season
Mountain homes are lived in across every season. What remains constant is the demand for honesty — in the materials chosen, in the craft applied, in the relationship between the building and the landscape it belongs to. These are homes built for deep winter and high summer, for a full house and a quiet week. They should work as well in both.
About Claudia Dorsch
I established the studio in 2009, drawn by a belief I still hold: that the spaces we live in shape us more than we realise. How a home is laid out. The way rooms connect. The storage that quietly absorbs the demands of a family. These are the things that shape how a house feels to live in, long before a colour or a fabric is chosen.
I have raised three daughters across three homes. I know what it means to need a kitchen that absorbs the chaos of a school morning, a sitting room that holds a family at the end of a long day, a house that works quietly and well across every season of life. The clients I work with are living a version of that same life. I understand it not as a concept, but from the inside.
Before a layout is drawn or a material chosen, I want to understand how you live — what your current home gets wrong, and what it quietly gets right. That listening shapes everything that follows.
I work on a small number of projects each year, because the kind of attention a home deserves cannot be divided too many ways.
I DON’T DESIGN JUST FOR IMPACT ON DAY ONE, BUT FOR HOW A HOME WILL STILL FEEL RIGHT IN TEN YEARS.

How We Work
Every project begins long before any decisions are made about materials or furniture. It begins with questions.
We invest real time in understanding a client's home, their life within it, and the emotional experience they want to return to each day. We call this stage The Deep Brief. It moves through three dimensions: who the client is and how they want to feel at home; what shapes their eye — the art, travel and cultural references that reveal how they think about beauty; and how the household actually uses the space, across different times of day and seasons of life. Together, these conversations anchor every design decision that follows.
From there, we work through the architecture of a space before turning to its decoration. Layout, proportion, light and spatial flow are resolved first. The most successful interiors are those where these decisions are right long before a fabric is chosen or a piece of furniture placed.
Materials and craft are central throughout. We choose them not only for how they look, but for how they will age and perform across the daily life of a household. We work closely with skilled makers — joiners, plaster artists, metalworkers, textile specialists — whose contribution is genuine collaboration rather than execution alone.
The final stage is the layering of a home: the furniture, art, objects and lighting that give a space its personality. The aim is always an interior that feels lived-in and timeless, rather than staged.
Most of our work comes through personal recommendation. Many clients return across years and multiple homes. The homes we design look different from each other. They feel, unmistakably, like they belong to the same people.

Every home begins with a conversation.
We have been working with private clients since 2009. We take on a small number of projects each year, and give the same depth of attention to each one - from the first conversation to the finished home. To find out how we might work together, book a discovery call.
